The Inner and Outer Worlds – Conflicts as a Gift
A b.onfire event invitation
WHAT: A 3-day immersion into conflict facilitation and awareness.
WHERE: Kenya & Online
WHEN: September 4, 5, & 6, 2026
Purpose of the Event
In times shaped by polarization and uncertainty, many conversations harden into fixed positions. This event invites a shift: seeing conflict not as a mistake to be fixed, but as a "gift" and an opportunity for transformation. Participants are invited to practice staying present in the heat of tension, using awareness tools to facilitate movement where there is currently stagnation.
Core Inquiry
How can we use the "disturbances" in our lives to expand our identity? Working with live situations, we explore how the phases of conflict, from the first spark to the deepest heat, can guide us toward a more profound understanding of ourselves and our communities.
What Will Be Explored
In this experiential format, you will:
· Identify the four phases of conflict and learn when to support escalation or de-escalation.
· Practice role-switching as a tool for both self-awareness and neutral facilitation.
· Explore the three levels of awareness to distinguish between objective facts and deep, dreaming signals.
· Recognize "edges"—the boundaries of our familiar identity—and how they shape our reaction to power and authority.
· Engage in group processes that address the specific cultural tensions of tribal and national contexts.
How We Work
Our work is deeply rooted in Process Work and Worldwork. We emphasize lived experience over theory, working with the "hotspots" that emerge in the room. We prioritize:
· Lived experience instead of theory-heavy models.
· Curiosity instead of judgment.
· Awareness instead of quick solutions.
What Participants Might Leave With
Ultimately, this journey strengthens the capacity for eldership: the ability to stand in the middle of a storm with compassion and responsibility. You will leave with practical facilitation tools and a shifted perspective on friction, seeing it as a pathway to genuine connection.
