Courage! A philosophical salon evening.

"Only the courageous person can become happy," said Aristotle. Is that true? We invite you to discuss it with us. Can we be courageous without feeling a certain fear? How much courage does freedom need? How courageously do we stand up for what is important to us? How does courage work?

Look forward to an inspiring evening of thinking, discussing, and listening together. No prior knowledge of philosophy is necessary. All it takes is curiosity and skepticism, mindfulness and openness. And a little bit of courage to get involved.

Speakers:

Gerda-Marie Adenau, Munich, found at the age of 55: "The children out of the house, the job under control. Time to shift down a gear. Or to study again." In 2022, she completed her studies at the University of Philosophy in Munich and at the Ignatianum in Krakow with a master's degree in ethics. She has been running her own philosophical practice since 2023. She is particularly interested in the personal and professional development of women 50plus and a dialogue between the generations.

Dr. Egon Meusel, Munich, holds a doctorate in philosophy and literature. He has been leading philosophy and literature groups in various institutions for many years. In philosophy, his main interests are critical theory and recent French philosophy. In cultural studies, his focus is on artists in Munich before the First World War.
